Our parent organisation has asked us to suspend the church programme (services, public meetings, children’s and youth work …). We are in a region relatively unaffected but we know that the evolution of the infection could be quite rapid. Following the President of France’s address, with the closure of schools, our churches have the responsibility to set an example in order to avoid every possible risk of transmission of the virus. Moreover, we belong to a national movement, of which a number of Christians – including pastors – have fallen ill. One member of one of our churches died this morning (13 March) and another is in a coma. We would be grateful for your prayers.
By depriving ourselves for a time of the benefits of church life by not meeting together, we also show a clear solidarity with the rest of the church, with fellow citizens, leaders and the world. At this time the church should exercise prayer more than ever and stay united: let us remain united with one another, using the communication tools available to allow us to do so. Remember that tools available include:
- Facebook: https://fr-fr.facebook.com/eglisevienouvelle49/
- Subjects for prayer by SMS: transmitted to the prayer group
- Live recordings of services at Angers: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCT9jsS5PzVJue-oDpW6lCfQ
- Gospel TV special programmes: https://evandis-gospel.tv
We will continue to keep you informed as the situation changes.
